Description
A tool to help you tell how much filament you have left on a spool with a 80mm core. Bambu Labs spools are 80mm cores.
You place the gauge on the filament roll in the spool then press the face up against the wall of the spool as shown. Look at where the edge of the spool lines up with the scale. That tells you how much filament you have.
For example: In the picture it shows that there is a little over 700 grams of filament left on the spool.
It is recommended to 3D print the model as shown face up with supports and use ironing to smooth the face.
It was designed using math and geometry and calibrated with a full and empty spool. Checked against weighing the spools and it is spot on.
The 200/80 embossed numbers are to identify the gauge. It works for a 80mm core and a 200mm outer diameter spool. Most all spools have a 200mm outer diameter.
