Description
A tool to help you tell how much filament you have left on a spool with a 90mm core.
You place the gauge on the filament roll in the spool then press the face up against the wall of the spool as shown. Look at where the edge of the spool lines up with the scale. That tells you how much filament you have.
For example: In the picture it shows that there is a little over 400 grams of filament left on the spool.
It is recommended you 3D print this in the orientation shown and use ironing to make the face smooth.
It was designed using math and geometry and calibrated with a full and empty spool. Checked against weighing the spools and it is spot on.
The 200/90 embossed numbers are to identify the gauge. It works for a 90mm core and a 200mm outer diameter spool. Most all spools have a 200mm outer diameter.
