These days everyone is speaking about ChatGPT and it is really fascinating. Our team members have been playing with it for a few months and it is a real fun though sometimes
scary.

Today we decided to ask ChatGPT a relevant to our industry question: How can “ChatGPT be used in 3D printing?
The answer we got was very interesting:
ChatGPT can be used in 3D printing in a few different ways. One way is to use the model to generate 3D models for printing. For example, ChatGPT could be trained on a dataset of 3D models and then used to generate new, unique models that can be printed. Another way ChatGPT could be used is to assist in the design process for 3D printing by generating text descriptions of the desired model and then converting that text into a 3D model using natural language processing techniques. Additionally, ChatGPT can be used for controlling the 3D printer, for example, generating a g-code and sending it to the printer.
Wow. Think about it. You sit on your desk, or on your kitchen table…or sitting in the toilet and type on your smartphone: create a 3D printing model of a coffee cup. Your smartphone creates a model that looks fine. But yet, you don’t like it. You type: adjust on the left, or on the right, and make it taller. And the model is done. Then you choose 3D print and it goes to your 3D printer for printing. Guys, this is not fiction, it’s not the future. It is now, the present and it is real and very soon we will have it available.
We are not sure we want this as a lot of creativity will be gone for good but certainly, it will be interesting timing.
