Description
These are 3D printable inserts for Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition, designed to organise ALL game components (miniatures, tokens, cards, etc) inside the original box.
- Easy to print as they do not require any supports
- Use a small amount of material, making them cost effective to produce
- Can be printed on most 3D printers with a minimum build volume of 205x205x205mm
- Are lightweight and do not add significant weight to the game box
- Can be stored in a horizontal or vertical position
- I will provide the files in STL format. I will also provide a PDF file with instructions on how to properly place the inserts inside the game box.
Here are some tips on 3D printing:
The inserts are printed on an Ender 3 with a vertical resolution of 0.32mm, which worked fine for me. These are simple inserts so quality may not matter to everyone, but feel free to print at a higher resolution if you want to.
My recommendation for the material is simple PLA as it is cheap and readily available online.
For insert number 8, I suggest turning off the cooling fan to avoid possible deformation (the piece is taller than the others). You can also use hairspray or other glue to ensure good bed adhesion, or activate a 3mm border and remove it later.
